The Great Ocean Road

Jas came with us along the great ocean Road.  We stopped a camp site at Apolla Bay on the first night.  It was the first time I'd seen an Echidna out during the day.  He snuffled about, ramming his snout into the dirt to stir up ants to eat. have a look at, Contact us at Travel Here   Funny.  We bushwalked and saw koalas.  We visited the historic lighthouse.  It was great you could go inside, but it was not as pretty as Byron Bay's but at least you could actually go inside it.  We clowned around inside, and took some silly photos try, Barrossa valley-the land of Wine and Port outside. On the drive back, we saw so many koalas, one lazy sod was only about 3 metres off the ground in this tiny gumtree.  Funny.  At first, we could see none, then they were everywhere.

We continued on after two days and made it to Bell's Beach.  Quite unbeknownst to us, the Bells beach Surf Classic was on.  We arrived just after the competition had finished for the day, so we were able to drive in for free. We saw Lane Beachley running down with a friend for a surf.  Our surfing friends in Byron Bay would have been jealous and horrified(only I recognised her, and we didn't bother to stay and watch any of the actual competition, we just kept driving).

We did another stop at a little town, which had two massive caravan parks on the ocean.  The Ocean was cold, and brown... yet the caravan parks were packed.  I guess a change is as good as a holiday, and the people coming did not see the ocean much.  We caught up with our friend Sherrie who'd lived with us for a few months in Byron bay.  She'd had some health why not visit, Link Footer problems and looked fragile, so we were well chuffed she'd made the effort to come and visit. consider, Mad Dog Morgan - former convict and self styled prison cell preacher   She brought her niece along, and she and Ayesha had fun mucking about for the day.  Ray Sherrie's boyfriend also came - we'd heard about rather than met him so it was nice to put a face to a name. checkout, Link Footer

We continued on to the  12 Apostles.(really only 8 as 4 have fallen into the water).  The apostles were spectacular, but they were only part of this magnificent stretch of coastline.  The natural , Newcastle - Car and Caravan Repairs coves and other formations further down are even more amazing.  We'd flattened the camera battery and could take only iphone photos(iphone camera = shit) and we vowed never to let that happen again.  Then... suddenly the coastline was pretty damn boring.... for about 650klms, and we found ourselves at a little caravan park on the edge of Lake Alexandria near Adelaide for Easter.
